Hello everyone! This is Elena from Gaia Storm and it is great to be here once again. The Sword and Shield era will officially come to an end and rotation will hit in the first months of 2023 meaning that we will have to part ways with old friends like Zacian and Zamacenta V, Eternatus, Inteleon, Snorlax and many more. But don’t get nostalgic (just) yet, as there is still one last set – Crown Zenith
Crown Zenith was announced some weeks ago, and it will be a very special collection in the sense that it has been designed to celebrate and remember what this past era looked like. As such, this expansion won’t have as many cards as others and will focus on reprinting some of the most iconic cards from Sword and Shield. One important thing to note here is that we will also be getting some amazing and never-seen-before new artworks, which will make the act of opening packs even more interesting.
Take the Sinnoh trio (Arceus VSTAR, Palkia and Dialga), for instance. Even if we currently have three different versions of each, a 4th one is making its debut. And I don’t know what you think, but these are some of the most incredible artworks I’ve seen in a while.
The list of cards that come in Crown Zenith is just too big to go over them. It basically features any relevant V Pokémon or playable card from the past two years and gives them a new and cooler artwork. That is why we will find fan favourites like Manaphy, Comfey, Ditto, Miltank and many, many more. In fact, the set contains a whooping 160 cards in total, so good luck collecting them all.
Something important you need to know about this set is that, as it happens with special expansions, you won’t be able to obtain them via traditional booster boxes. In order to get these cards, you will need to buy sealed products like Crown Zenith elite trainer boxes and special collections. Think of what happened to Celebrations or Shining Fates a few months ago.
While this can make the products a bit harder to get, this also has a positive aspect in the sense that almost every item you buy is going to guarantee a very cool promo card featuring Pikachu VMAX, Lucario VSTAR, Regieleki V and so on.
One last important note about this, for those of you who are competitive players, is that reprints will not be the only cards available. Some new Pokémon will make their debut, and I have high hopes for some of them. For instance, a Radiant Eternatus lets you cheat the rules and bench two VMAX Pokémon directly from your deck. It can also be a solid attacker reaching 200 damage points every turn. I am really interested in seeing what crazy combos players design with it!

Conclusion
Personally speaking, I can’t wait for this set to hit the stores and I am going to gift myself many of its cards. In fact, I intend to finish the entire collection so wish me luck. This set will be officially out the 20th of January but preorders are already available. Where can you get them? Easy! Go to the preorders section here at TCG Park and pick your products before they run out. Good luck with your openings and I hope you pull the secret rares oones! Thanks for reading!
